Making Sense

 - browsing our many encountered research methods we touched in the past years of study and making use of them to narrow down our research topic

Within a group of 4 peers we collected the design/research methods we found in a way helpfull during one of our design processes

- Narration: Elevator pitch, Tell me like I'm 5, Table Top Videos

- Ideation: Post It Wall, Mind Map

- Collaboration: Figma

- User Testing: Wizard Of Oz, Eye Tracking, Talk aloud

- Insides: Field Trips, Cultural Probes

- Prototyping: Very-Rapid-Prototyping

In general we came to the conclusion, that it's always good to test out ideas really quickly. This means hands on, test out and gain lots of feedback.

Second we were asked to think about a research question (no mater how small of a part the question would cover from the topic) in order to make a first step on formulating a possible research field of interest for our Thesis.

My topic is floating around our society (as a biological structure) and how responsive it is to upcoming endangerments such as the climate crisis, also with a touch of systemchange.

Researchquestions that came to my mind were:

- At what level can a single person intervene into the society-system?

- How resilent is humanity?

- How can one trigger the human instinct with abstract topics like "climat crisis"?

- The most helpfull for me during that lecture was thinking about how to wrap up my field of interest to present in front of the class with 1-2 sentences. This was not even a main task, but required when one had to tell ones research question examples. When I was able to wrap up my interests in short, the lesson was already finished, but still the progress of beeing able to formulate it stays.
